Tax Information
For the tax year 2022, Fort Bend MUD 50 implemented a 5% general homestead exemption to all homeowners who live in the District and claim, with the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District, their home as their homestead.
There is a “useful website links” tab on the District’s website where you can click on a link to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District [http://www.fbcad.org]. Once on the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District website, you will be able to find information on how to claim the homestead exemption.
The District also exempts $20,000 of the appraised value of residence homesteads of individuals who are disabled or 65 years of age or older.
