Tax Information
For the tax year 2026, Fort Bend MUD 50 implemented a 9% general homestead exemption to all homeowners who live in the District and claim, with the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District, their home as their homestead.
There is a “useful website links” tab on the District’s website where you can click on a link to the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District. Once on the Fort Bend Central Appraisal District website, you will be able to find information on how to claim the homestead exemption.
The District also exempts $40,000 of the appraised value of residence homesteads of individuals who are disabled or 65 years of age or older.
